Bauer Media Outdoor wins Kontich and deploys its green-roofed passenger shelters there
Bauer Media Outdoor recently won the contract to operate Kontich's advertising shelters and is extending its offering there with 28 new shelters with green roofs.
Bauer Media Outdoor is continuing to expand in the Flemish Region with the award of the public contract by the municipality of Kontich to operate its passenger shelters and city maps. This collaboration combines digital innovation and environmental commitment, with the installation of 28 new advertising shelters equipped with green roofs, as well as 4 city map panels. This 15-year contract is fully in line with a vision of greener, more connected and more sustainable public spaces.

Furniture that adds a touch of green to the city
All the passenger shelters have a green roof made from sedum, a low-maintenance plant that offers a number of benefits, including reducing fine particles, retaining rainwater and combating heat islands. These "hanging mini-gardens" contribute to urban biodiversity: bees and butterflies find refuge there, while residents enjoy a greener, more pleasant view of their surroundings.
This approach is fully in line with Bauer Media Outdoor's objective of making its street furniture ever more sustainable and integrated into the local ecosystem.
An ever-stronger DOOH presence
This deployment strengthens our DOOH network in Flanders, offering advertisers targeted and flexible local visibility, and municipalities a real-time information channel at the service of citizens.
"This strategic win strengthens our presence in Flanders and reflects our desire to accelerate the integration of solutions that are both sustainable and digital in public spaces. By integrating nature and technology, we are reinventing street furniture to serve local authorities and their residents." Jan De Moor, Managing Director Bauer Media Outdoor.
With this new contract, Bauer Media Outdoor confirms its role as a preferred partner of cities in their transition towards more sustainable public spaces, while strengthening its presence in the north of the country.
