Bauer Media Outdoor launches the marketing of its information screens at the entrances to Brussels metro stations

A few months ago, Bauer Media Outdoor announced that it had won the tender to operate the digital street furniture providing information at the entrances to Brussels metro stations, for a minimum period of 12 years. Today, the company unveils the design of these 125 screens, which went on sale a few days ago.

These installations not only cover the entire Brussels metro network, but also enable Bauer Media Outdoor to significantly strengthen its digital presence in Brussels City and 12 other surrounding municipalities. The result: optimum visibility for advertisers and a real passenger experience with the display of waiting times at metro station entrances and the integration of information on shared mobility.

A solid and homogenous digital presence in Brussels

With this win, the new digital offering now covers every metro station entrance across the capital, reaching high-traffic areas such as Place Louise, Place Madou, Porte de Namur, Porte de Hal and Rue de la Loi. This strategic win positions Bauer Media Outdoor as the key partner for advertisers aiming to maximise their impact within the Brussels-Capital Region with 93% coverage* and a particular focus on Brussels City and access to new communes such as Saint-Gilles, Anderlecht, Forest and Woluwe-Saint-Lambert.

Thanks to this contract, Bauer Media Outdoor can now boast a presence across all 19 communes!!

The most balanced and homogenous national digital offering

And above all, the digital offering now allows brands to reach over 51% of the Belgian population. This addition represents a significant 15% increase in its overall digital inventory (+61% on Brussels 19), enabling the company to strengthen its position as a leader in DOOH with the most balanced offering on the market and the most homogenous at national level. These screens are also available for programmatic buying, with more than 11,000 digital screens accessible in 9 markets via LaunchPAD.

A meticulous design for an enriched traveller experience

In collaboration with Axel Enthoven, the renowned Belgian designer from the Yellow Window agency, these screens combine modern aesthetics and functionality, reflecting Bauer Media Outdoor’s commitment to improving the urban landscape and the traveller’s experience. Equipped with touch technologies, these devices offer real-time information about the STIB and the surrounding area, enriching the daily lives of Brussels transport users.

Jan De Moor, Managing Director of Bauer Media Outdoor Belgium, expresses his enthusiasm:"The introduction of these screens represents a fantastic opportunity for advertisers to showcase themselves in prime locations in Brussels. Our collaboration with the STIB underlines our commitment to enriching the public space while offering an innovative and effective user experience. We are convinced that our new digital offering will transform the way brands communicate in the city."

With this deployment, Bauer Media Outdoor confirms its position as a leader in digital out-of-home and reaffirms its commitment to the creation of a smart, interconnected city.
