A Carbon Net Zero future
Every team and function in our business plays an active role in our advancing journey towards Carbon Net Zero.
Our A- CDP score illustrates our position as a responsible media and infrastructure business. It underscores our dedication to environmental responsibility, highlighting our efforts to support industry, advertisers, municipalities, and business partners in reaching their sustainability goals.
High impact, low energy media
An Outsmart report finds OOH represents 3.3% of the UK's total advertising power consumption and 0.067% of all power consumption, making it the most sustainable brand advertising platform compared to other major media.
This positive outlook on OOH, along with the sector's strides in becoming more sustainable, is thanks to OOH media owners overseeing their entire supply chain and operations from start to finish.

Championing green innovation
We have focused on reducing our carbon footprint and other environmental impacts across our operations, estate and premises while pioneering other environmental initiatives.

Installing LED tubes
We were the first Out of Home media owner to upgrade to LED tubes in Classic advertising panels nationwide at scale.

Reducing water usage
We have implemented an Enhanced Washing System, using rainwater to clean our estate and reducing water usage by 50% per wash.

Greener infrastructure
We have been introducing 100% recyclable bus shelters and solar-powered courtesy lighting.

Promoting biodiversity
We're continuing our rollout of Living Roofs and Vertical Meadows nationwide.

Utilising renewables
We have installed solar panels at one of our depots.

Going electric
We're establishing zero-emission premise heating across our operations.
Driving sustainability
We operate in urban environments, so we prioritise having the cleanest vehicles to improve the quality of life for residents in the communities we serve.
As a result, we're replacing company vehicles with electric or hybrid models only. With 82% of our van fleet being already hybrid or electric, we’re going full speed ahead to complete electrification by 2030.
Industry commitments
Our sustainability efforts are underpinned by wider industry commitments. Since 2020, we have joined Ad Net Zero and Carbon Disclosure Project. We are Planet Mark certified.
Our Environmental Management System is ISO 14001 accredited covering all of our business location in the UK. Each location has an environmental leader and we have a business wide Environmental Steering Committee on which four of our leadership team sit.
As part of the Bauer Media Group, we are committed to respecting the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact.

*100% renewable energy we purchase for use in all our premises and street furniture is purchased from suppliers using the National Grid and certified by those suppliers’ Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin, matching electricity bought with the equivalent amount from renewable sources.
