Political Advertising Policy

Bauer Media Outdoor UK continues to accept advertising of a political nature where our council and landlord contracts permit us to do so.

Contractual advertising restrictions do however prohibit advertising of a political nature from being displayed across approximately 85% of the Bauer Media Outdoor UK estate.

We are nevertheless permitted to display advertising of a political nature across the following digital and non-digital advertising formats:

• Billboards (excluding local authority contracted sites)
• Billboard Live (excluding local authority contracted sites)

Creative approval

Bauer Media Outdoor UK maintains a politically neutral stance and we review all advertising of a political nature for creative approval on a case-by-case basis.

Whilst the CAP advertising code does not apply to political advertising, we refer to the non-broadcast CAP code as the basis for our own creative reviews and approvals process.

Additionally, we reserve the right at any time: (i) to refuse to display any advertising, for example, any advertising that we consider may cause distress or offense or which may otherwise cause local issues; and (ii) to remove any advertising displayed on any of our assets without compensation if we consider that this is an appropriate thing to do or if instructed to do so by any statutory, legal or regulatory body.
