A major new recognition for Bauer Media Outdoor at the 2025 AMMA Awards: the company walks away with three prestigious accolades, celebrating its innovation capabilities, societal impact, and ambitious digital growth strategy.

Gold – Best Use of One Medium (Out of Home)
In response to a critical societal issue — distracted driving caused by smartphones — Bauer Media Outdoor, in collaboration with AKQA Brussels and GroupM, implemented a pioneering programmatic DOOH activation for the Vlaamse Stichting Verkeerskunde (VSV). The “Be Real” campaign harnessed the full power of programmatic DOOH (pDOOH) to deliver a prevention message precisely at times of highest potential distraction. A strategic use of DOOH, aligned with key digital timing, to drive awareness.
Bronze – Media Sales House of the Year
The year 2024 confirmed the relevance of Bauer Media Outdoor’s strategic choice: making DOOH the main engine of its development, while capitalizing on the enduring strengths of classic OOH. This approach, centered on real market needs, reinforced its leadership by delivering effective and innovative solutions.
This award extends a momentum initiated in 2023, already rewarded with a Gold AMMA Award for Sales House of the Year. In 2024, maintaining growth after a record increase of +31% was a real challenge, met thanks to a clear strategy based on five pillars: digitalization, data, mobility, creativity, and responsibility. A committed digital shift, in service of sustainable growth.

The power of data was also in the spotlight with a third award for the “Be Real” campaign, this time in the Best Use of Data category. The intelligent use of BeReal notification timing, combined with mobility flows, demonstrates how data can amplify the relevance and effectiveness of a message in public space.
